100 PoS #65 Refill Fresh Water Fish Tank

05/13/2010

I got some new fish at Petsmart to keep the other three guppies company and we did get the snails we had been promising Emma since she was sick!

100 PoS #43 Clean out Refrigerator (like new)

05/30/2010

Jeff did this one all on his own. With no help from me, and he even did it without being told! Because he is a great hubby! The before is a little bad, so if you have any small children in the room, particularly those who do not like veggies, have them leave the room now. (kidding...no pun intended)

100 Pos #40 Get Rug for Living Room

05/14/2010

Well, we put hardwood in the living room for my birthday present back in February (Thanks Mom & Kenny, you know the way to my heart!) However, they are hard and it is difficult to let Emma play on the floor because she will bump her head and get hurt. So, one of the PoS was to get a new rug! Done deal! There were some nice rugs for sale at Dollar General that were durable, and just plain. I do not want anything super special. These ones were $12 and they did more than the trick. No before, just the after.

100 PoS #34 Build bookcase for Man Loft

06/02/2010

So Jeff totally helped with this one. We were in Target, and they had wire storage shelves for sale! For $15! They were black and looked great for Jeff's Man Loft. So we got one for the kitchen, and for his loft. Super easy to put together, and we did not even need any tools. (the best part) So here are the before and afters!

100 PoS #25 Weathering all Doors

05/13/2010

So this project was a major win! As it only took some sticky weathering material which I purchased from Lowes! Super cheap (less than $5) and will save us tons of money in the long run. Be sure to clean (and dry)  the area you wish to apply it to before you set the sticky on it!

100 PoS #24 Clean out Hall Closet

13/10

So I was on a mission once I cleaned out the bathroom closet, the hallway closet was now my aim! This went really well, as it use to store my tools and now I have a tool box in the basement!

100 PoS #22 Clean out Bathroom Closet

05/13/2010

So the bathroom closet it our "throw it there" place. That is changing because it was out of control. You could not even see that there was a shelf in the closet! So I spent a whole night organizing, cleaning and scrubbing!

I got this awesome wire rack from Wal-mart for about $10 total splurge but worth it!

100 PoS #14 Finish the Purses I started

05/07/2010
So, I started like 12 purses. It took a while to get around to finishing them! But I DID!!

Check the photos at here! under the purses link!

100 PoS #13 Finish Emma's Blanket

05/06/2010

I gave birth 5 weeks early, so I did not get her bigger blanket finished before she came into the world! This was simply a put the other 235 pieces of the quilt together and put it all the way together. Plain and simple. I think it was a win!

No before, well because there was nothing before to take a picture of!

100 PoS #2 Complete Electric Outlet in Man Loft

06/02/2010

This project gets a fail!
There was not a ground wire in this outlet, which ended up zapping me when I turned the power back on. So I recapped it and put a nice cover on it! Some things are beyond me, this is one of them. Here are the before and afters.
Before

After

Not what I wanted, but the zap in my arm with a 15 was more than enough to make me settle for less than normal. Please remember to turn off all electricity prior to doing any electrical work, if you are unsure seek the advice of a licensed electrician. Please keep in mind, I did turn off the electricity, I got electrocuted when I turned it back on, because it "popped" in my hand. I do not have the switch fuses throughout all my house, this was a screw-in kind...

100 PoS #1 Finish the Man Loft

So, when we bought our house 2 years ago I promised my husband he would have a man loft upstairs. If would be his man cave. However, in the process of having a getting married, having a baby, going to school...you know LIFE. I let it slide a little. So here we are two years later, it is on THE LIST!

So I do not have any before pictures because it was just a white room! So here we are in the after. His favorite teams are the White Sox and the Oakland Raiders! So if you are wondering why the walls are black, that is why.

Okay so there is not a photo of the other corner where the book case is to go in project #34, but that is because I want the before and after to be on project #34's page!

Thoughts? What do you think of the couch?
Do you think I should get something else for the Dvd's?
And Decoration ideas?

100 PoS #61 Decorate the Bathroom

05/02/2010

So yet again, I promised, when we moved into the house two years ago, I was going to redecorate the bathroom. Yea, I got distracted. But I did finally get it done, on the PoS!!! So this project was super cheap and super easy, I bought two square mirrors from wal-mart, they were with the candles, and a package of mirror hangers, (from the hardware department) while I was in the hardware department, I got some paint. Though after doing this, I suggest you get the tiny tubes of paint from the craft section. It really does not take any paint at all to cover the space. I went with the square design because our shower curtain contains squares. I used the same colors that were in the shower curtain. (which is not pictured) Never the less! This would look really great in a brown room, with white and red squares, perhaps with a red shower curtain. Experiment and find what works out best for you.  I have not seen the mirrors online, so here is a link to some just like them.

So all you do it place the mirror on the wall with your hand and trace around it, then trace a line 1/2 inch on the inside of the mirror, and then trace a line 2 inches outside of the mirror. Your first square will be 2 1/2 inches, this is to give a seamless appearance.

Tape your lines, and paint! Then once it is dried, you take the tape off and draw a line 2 inches from your first painted square, tape it on the paint and on the non-painted side, paint.

Once dried, pull off the tape, if you want another square, do it again. I personally like 2 squares on the outside!
